Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer role is onsite in McLean, VA; compensation is not specified. The role supports CTEC’s work delivering technology solutions for the Office of Personnel Management’s Health and Insurance business unit and Office of the Chief Information Officer. The engineer leads quality planning and testing so enterprise systems and data-driven applications meet functional, accessibility, performance, and release-readiness expectations. The role also strengthens QA practices through automation, reporting, process improvement, and mentorship.

What you'll do

• Lead test strategies, plans, and frameworks
• validate requirements and acceptance criteria and maintain traceability in Azure DevOps
• oversee manual and automated functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing
• manage defects and root-cause analysis
• build automated test frameworks and regression suites
• lead Section 508 and accessibility testing
• oversee performance and load testing
• report quality status and release risks
• participate in Agile/Scrum activities
• mentor QA staff and improve testing processes.
