The Software Engineer, Application Platform role is onsite in Falls Church, VA. Compensation is $120,000–$140,000 per year. The engineer builds and supports backend applications and internal platforms that power Tax Analysts' products. The role designs, develops, modernizes, and supports backend services, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native applications. Reliable data flows, secure systems, and maintainable deployment practices help the company deliver and improve its products and internal platforms.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend applications, APIs, microservices, serverless applications, and containerized services
• build data and content ingestion pipelines
• develop resilient integrations and recovery workflows
• modernize applications and plan migrations
• diagnose production issues
• contribute to CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
• apply engineering standards for security, testing, observability, and maintainability
• document architecture and collaborate in Agile delivery.
