Construction Estimator

Job overview

Compensation is $10,000,000–$200,000,000 per year. The Construction Estimator role is onsite in Frederick, MD, with work from the main office and required site visits. Keller Brothers’ Estimating Department supports commercial construction projects. This role prepares complete, competitive bids and budgets across hard-bid, negotiated, and budgeting work. It coordinates bid requirements with trade contractors and supports awarded projects through scope and pricing negotiations and turnover to project management.

What you'll do

• Prepare bids, budgets, takeoffs, and estimates for commercial construction projects
• review plans and specifications
• conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings as applicable
• interpret bid documents and summarize scopes
• manage RFIs and multiple bids
• coordinate trade contractor participation and scopes
• track bid progress
• negotiate scope and pricing for awarded projects
• mentor Junior Estimators
• and conduct turnover meetings with project management.
