The Adapted Physical Education Paraprofessional role is onsite in San Jose, CA, with travel between Rocketship campuses required. Compensation is $23.05–$28.05 per hour. Rocketship Public Schools is a nonprofit network of public elementary charter schools focused on student achievement and supporting underserved communities. Under the Adapted Physical Education Specialist's supervision, the paraprofessional provides scheduled adapted and specially designed physical education to eligible students. The role supports student goals through instruction, behavior strategies, progress tracking, safe equipment use, and collaboration with school and IEP teams.

What you'll do

• Provide instruction aligned with current IEP goals, objectives, and lesson plans
• implement individual and small-group instruction for students with special education needs
• collaborate with school-based and network teams to assess and communicate progress
• use behavior management strategies to support engagement
• explain procedures to students with varied communication and cognitive needs
• organize and maintain class materials and equipment
• train students and others in safe equipment use
• track instructional outcomes
• participate on IEP teams when appropriate
• apply basic emergency and first-aid procedures
• travel between campuses.
