The Medical Insurance Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist role is 100% onsite at Olympic Sports & Spine’s centralized billing office in Tacoma, WA, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule. Pay is $22.57–$37.58 per hour. The role supports the organization’s revenue cycle team. The specialist works to resolve insurance claim and account issues so claims are processed accurately and reimbursement is timely, coordinating with payers, patients, and internal departments while maintaining accurate documentation.

What you'll do

• Review patient financial information and claim forms
• submit claims
• enter allowances and adjustments
• check eligibility and claim status in payer systems
• respond to patient, payer, agency, and internal inquiries
• follow up on unpaid claims
• review reimbursements
• correct and document account errors
• prepare correspondence
• assess delinquent accounts and payment plans
• prepare accounts for collection agency placement when needed
• post and balance remittances
• and resolve credit balances.
