What you'll do

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, models, and specifications
• determine materials and machines needed
• lay out metal stock
• set up and operate machine tools
• cut, shape, grind, fit, and assemble parts
• measure and verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances
• conduct test runs and adjust tools as needed
• maintain a clean and safe work area
• assist with inventory and material management as directed.
