The CNC Machinist position is onsite in Round Rock, TX. Compensation is $20–$30 per hour. Fathom provides on-demand digital manufacturing services across CNC machining, additive manufacturing, molding, fabrication, and engineering. The machinist sets up and operates CNC milling centers, inspects parts, and supports quality and production goals. The role also contributes to technical problem-solving and continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.
What you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC milling machine centers
- perform MDI programming and G-code editing
- inspect parts using manual gauges and instruments
- read 2-D drawings and apply GD&T
- monitor parts during machining
- follow quality and safety procedures
- collaborate with team members to solve technical issues
- participate in Lean and 6S manufacturing events.
