Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager role is onsite in Wayne, MI. The stated salary range is $80,000 to $90,000 per year. The position supports a designated unit in a skilled nursing facility and reports to the facility Director of Nursing. The Unit Manager combines clinical expertise and administrative oversight to support resident safety, quality care, and compliance with applicable standards. The role supervises nursing staff, monitors care and unit operations, and may provide direct patient care when scheduled.

What you'll do

• Maintain standards of care and resident safety
• supervise nursing assistants and staff nurses
• make daily and frequent unit rounds
• participate in policy and procedure development, quality assurance audits, and performance improvement
• participate in clinical admissions, care conferences, and interdisciplinary care planning
• monitor wound healing and communicate progress with physicians
• assist with infection prevention and outbreak control
• serve as weekend house supervisor when the Administrator and DON are absent
• handle on-call responsibilities as required
• provide direct patient care as designated by the facility schedule.
