Job overview
The Therapist – Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders role is onsite in Jessup, MD. Pay is $50 per hour. The therapist supports A Brighter Day Behavioral Health Center’s outpatient substance use disorder program, which provides individual, group, and intensive outpatient services. The therapist delivers trauma-informed, person-centered care to support recovery, emotional safety, and continuity of treatment. The role includes therapy, group facilitation, care planning, timely documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
What you'll do
- Complete intake assessments and referrals
- provide individual, group, and family therapy
- facilitate intensive outpatient and 12-week DUI/DWI education groups
- support person-centered care plans with SMART goals
- maintain a caseload of no more than 15 patients
- complete clinical documentation within 24 hours
- collaborate with the clinical team
- and follow applicable organizational, state, federal, licensing, and accreditation requirements.

Why this role
Requires a master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field; at least two years of relevant therapy experience; group therapy experience; and active Maryland licensure. Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
