Patient Safety Attendant

Job overview

The Patient Safety Attendant role is onsite in Cottonwood, AZ. Pay is $18.35–$24.59 per hour. The role supports patient safety and care at Verde Valley Medical Center under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The attendant provides generalized support in accordance with the nursing plan of care and medical-surgical standards. By keeping patients safe and occupied, communicating changes, and maintaining a safe room environment, the role supports the care team and patient well-being.

What you'll do

• Communicate patient and family needs or concerns to the care team
• assist stable patients with ambulation under RN direction when appropriate
• use interactive activities to keep patients safe and occupied
• assist with patient food tray setup under RN supervision
• receive and give shift reports
• inform the RN of changes in patient behavior or status
• maintain clean, comfortable, and safe rooms
• report safety incidents and complete required training.
