The aide assists with food preparation, meal delivery, and cleanup while maintaining sanitary dining and kitchen areas. The role helps the center meet meal schedules and provide residents with organized, properly prepared food service.

What you'll do

• Assist with food ordering, storage, and preparation as designated by the supervisor
• assist cooks as directed
• prepare and label nourishments according to center procedures
• portion desserts, salads, and other non-entree foods and pour beverages
• follow production and pre-preparation sheets
• wash, peel, and cut produce and slice and measure or weigh meat as assigned
• follow cleaning schedules and clean equipment and work areas
• sweep and mop floors, take trash out, wash pots and pans, and wash and put away dishes and silverware
• meet meal schedules.
