The Head Start Teacher role is onsite in Clarkdale, AZ. Compensation is $19.78–$26.50 per hour, for 40 hours per week and 44 weeks per year. The position supports preschool-aged children through the Northern Arizona Council of Governments' Head Start program. The role exists to promote children's social, physical, and intellectual development through instruction and developmentally appropriate activities. It also supports a safe learning environment, program compliance, and family engagement through lesson planning, screenings, and parent-teacher conferences.

What you'll do

• Instruct preschool-aged children and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities
• build trusting relationships with children and families
• develop weekly lesson plans
• assign duties to staff and monitor work
• complete compliance logs and reports
• prepare and inspect classrooms and playgrounds
• conduct child health screenings
• plan and conduct parent-teacher conferences.
