What you'll do

• Repair or replace malfunctioning machinery components
• disassemble equipment for repairs
• troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems including PLCs, control circuits, communication systems, I/O field devices, VFDs, and motors
• test equipment and diagnose faults
• clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery
• inspect parts for defects
• verify repairs
• record parts and maintenance
• read blueprints and schematics
• cut and weld metal
• program computer-controlled machinery
• demonstrate equipment functions to operators.
