Mohs Histotechnician

What you'll do

• Handle, store, preserve, and identify specimens
• freeze tissue and cut sections with a microtome
• stain and mount tissue on slides
• prepare solutions
• handle reagents
• clean lab materials
• maintain equipment
• update OSHA and CLIA records
• record cryostat temperatures
• maintain quality-control and patient-identification logs
• follow safety, HIPAA, and billing compliance guidelines.
