Peer Support Specialist

The Peer Support Specialist role is a community-based, onsite position in Hamilton, OH, with evening availability and travel to other work locations and throughout the community. Pay is $20 per hour. Best Point Education & Behavioral Health supports clients experiencing behavioral health challenges and mental health needs. Using lived experience, the specialist provides practical peer support, helps clients and caregivers identify goals and navigate services, and strengthens community connections. The role works alongside a clinical team to support client advocacy, care coordination, and access to behavioral health and community resources.

What you'll do

• Use shared lived experience to provide encouragement and practical support
• provide one-on-one peer consultation
• help clients and caregivers identify goals and navigate care systems
• support client self-advocacy and natural supports
• collaborate with clinical teams and community partners
• help families access behavioral health and social resources
• complete timely documentation
• maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and agency requirements.
