The Registered Nurse (RN) – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Preoperative Recovery role is onsite in Logan, UT; compensation is not specified. The role exists to provide comprehensive nursing care before and during recovery from surgery, monitoring patient status and responding to changes. It contributes to safe patient outcomes through assessment, medication administration, documentation, patient and family education, and coordination with physicians and other care providers.
What you'll do
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care for postoperative patients
- monitor and document physical and mental status
- report symptoms and condition changes
- administer ordered medications and treatments
- manage pain and nausea
- discharge patients according to facility procedures
- provide patient and family education
- maintain accurate records and confidentiality
- respond independently in emergencies
- monitor supplies and medication use
- and support orientation and mentoring. Requires a current RN license and current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
