The Director of Engineering — Hotel & Resort role is onsite in Telluride, CO. The annual salary is $130,000–$160,000, based on experience, with an annual performance bonus of up to 20% of base salary. The role oversees the physical assets and infrastructure of The Peaks Resort & Spa’s hotel and residences to support guest satisfaction and a luxury experience. The director leads maintenance operations and the engineering team, manages departmental expenses, and plans repairs and capital improvements. Coordination with hotel departments and senior leadership helps maintain property standards, safety, and reliable infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Supervise hotel and spa infrastructure, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical substations, water treatment, kitchen equipment, generators, and roofing
• inspect property areas and document findings
• perform and oversee maintenance work
• establish work procedures and schedules
• manage departmental expenses and assist with capital budgeting
• recommend major repairs and improvements
• manage engineering staff
• collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office
• ensure OSHA and safety compliance
• communicate critical infrastructure needs to leadership.
