Assistant General Manager, Front of House

The Assistant General Manager, Front of House role is onsite in Scottsdale, AZ. Compensation is $75,000–$87,000 per year. The role supports CALA’s restaurant operations and reports to the General Manager. The position exists to help execute the General Manager’s direction across service, team development, guest experience, and daily financial operations. It maintains consistent restaurant standards by leading shifts, coaching staff, supporting labor and inventory processes, and addressing guest needs.

What you'll do

• Lead service shifts and maintain floor presence
• ensure sequence of service
• support pacing, table management, and guest flow
• handle service recovery
• assist with hiring, onboarding, and training
• coach team members and document performance as needed
• reinforce menu, wine, and upselling knowledge
• assist with labor management and shift coverage
• monitor sales, comps, voids, and discounts
• support inventory
• conduct table touches and maintain ambiance standards.
