The assistant supports providers by preparing patients and exam rooms, assisting with patient care, and completing clerical and clinical tasks. The role helps the practice deliver organized patient visits and follow-up care.

What you'll do

• Assist providers with patient care and minor procedures
• answer phones and schedule appointments
• manage patient charts
• escort patients to exam rooms
• prepare rooms and patients, including histories and vital signs
• sterilize instruments
• call in prescription refills at physician request
• maintain supplies
• follow up on lab work or X-rays
• administer injections.
