Job overview
The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in San Diego, CA, with work hours Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM. Compensation is $19.50 per hour. Toward Maximum Independence supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living, working, and participating in their communities. In the Tailored Day Services program, the role works one-to-one with a client to support self-directed activities, independence, choice, and connection. The professional helps clients build life skills, pursue goals, participate in community and vocational settings, and expand integrated employment activities.
What you'll do
- Train, support, and monitor clients in community and vocational settings
- help develop a circle of support
- create adaptive support materials as needed
- expand participation in integrated employment activities
- assist with annual plans, goals, and objectives
- participate in annual Individualized Program Plan meetings
- and provide same-day shift coverage when requested by a supervisor.

Why this role
