Maintenance Area Supervisor — Manufacturing

The Maintenance Area Supervisor role is onsite in Kokomo, IN. Pay is $25.65 per hour. The position leads skilled trades employees in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment. The supervisor coordinates maintenance work and initiatives to meet department objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale. By addressing equipment downtime and throughput, developing employees, and leading continuous-improvement activities, the role supports reliable production and improved equipment performance.

What you'll do

• Directly supervise skilled trades employees
• coordinate safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale initiatives
• drive throughput improvements and maintenance activities
• influence equipment KPIs, MTBF, and MTTR
• address production throughput and downtime issues
• coach and mentor employees on problem solving and corrective action
• implement autonomous, professional, and quality maintenance and focused improvement methods
• lead kaizen activities for OEE improvement and waste reduction.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of industrial automation experience, and project management experience. Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required. A technical or engineering bachelor’s degree and experience in lean manufacturing or union maintenance teams are preferred.
