Job overview

Truck Driver, Food Bank Deliveries is an onsite role based in Boston, MA; pay is $20–$30 per hour. The driver picks up food from the Greater Boston Food Bank and delivers it to partner sites for the YMCA of Greater Boston.

What you'll do

• Safely drive a truck up to 26 feet
• pick up food orders three to four times weekly
• unload and organize pallets
• place cold pallets in a walk-in or freezer
• operate an electric pallet jack, lift gate, and loading dock
• deliver food and donations to partner sites
• communicate with site coordinators about deliveries and delays
• and keep the truck clean and report maintenance issues. When not driving, pack grocery bags, restock food, clean food and packing areas, and handle recycling and trash.
