Shelter Youth & Family Services provides emergency housing and support for youth and families in crisis; this role oversees its Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children program. The coordinator leads daily operations and staff supervision in a therapeutic residential program for girls ages 12–18 who are survivors of human trafficking. The role supports resident safety and well-being through structured programming, direct support, treatment coordination, and collaboration with clinical and case management teams.
What you'll do
- Oversee daily routines, staffing, and resident-to-staff coverage
- supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate Youth Care Specialists
- coordinate staff schedules and documentation
- maintain house records, supplies, maintenance, and safety protocols
- review referrals and coordinate preplacement interviews
- support treatment, transition, and discharge planning
- coordinate transportation, medical, therapy, school, volunteer, and parental activities
- provide crisis intervention and emotional support
- collaborate on individualized treatment plans and progress tracking
- attend required DCFS meetings and training
- submit program records and approve payroll.
