Youth Development Professional

Job overview

The Youth Development Professional role is onsite in Riverview, FL, and is part-time. Compensation is $17 per hour. The position is in the Operations department and supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay mission to prepare youth and young adults for college, career, and life. The professional plans, leads, and supervises age-appropriate activities that promote academic success, health and well-being, life skills and leadership, and workforce readiness. The role also supports a safe, positive environment and builds relationships with Club members, families, staff, and community members.

What you'll do

• Model the organization's mission, values, policies, and programs
• participate in staff meetings and team activities
• communicate with members, staff, visitors, parents, and volunteers
• support other youth professionals or Club locations as needed
• actively supervise members and follow safety procedures
• plan and lead age-appropriate activities
• foster community and belonging.
