Lead Technician

Job overview

The Lead Technician role is onsite in Sulphur, LA, with pay starting at $22 per hour. The technician works outdoors at petroleum refinery or chemical processing facilities, performing monitoring, inspection, and hazardous-waste-related tasks for Alliance Technical Group. The role carries out field inspections and sampling, supports safe handling and organization of materials, and performs related monitoring work. It offers an experienced technician an opportunity to advance into a lead position and contribute to site safety and environmental monitoring.

What you'll do

• Inspect and change carbon canisters
• conduct visual drain and above-ground sewer line inspections
• perform FLIR camera inspections and fenceline benzene sampling
• conduct hazardous waste inspections and spill cleanup
• perform roll-off box and carbon can NDE
• collect cooling tower and other samples
• organize hazardous and non-hazardous drums
• escort vehicles as needed
• perform confined-space work as needed
• inspect stormwater runoff
• label materials.
