Certified Prosthetist and/or Orthotist Clinician (CPO, CP, Board Eligible)

Job overview

The Certified Prosthetist and/or Orthotist Clinician role is onsite in Washington, DC, with a stated pay range of $75,000–$95,000 per year plus bonus and benefits. The clinician supports Hanger’s Washington clinics and works with a collaborative clinical team and physicians. The clinician evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, designs and fits prosthetic and orthotic devices, and follows up on care. This work contributes to patient outcomes through comprehensive, collaborative prosthetic and orthotic services.

What you'll do

• Evaluate patient needs and collaborate with physicians on prosthetic and orthotic services
• formulate device designs
• select materials and take cast measurements
• fit and adjust devices
• instruct patients in device use
• provide follow-up
• maintain clinical notes
• support referral relationships and practice management. May mentor residents or newly certified clinicians. May be asked to perform on-call, hospital calls, or float between clinic locations.
