The Substance Use Disorder Counselor – Registered/Certified role is onsite in Santa Rosa, CA, with compensation of $28 per hour for registered counselors and $33 per hour for certified counselors; bilingual English/Spanish counselors who complete the skills assessment receive an additional $2 per hour differential. The role supports Center Point DAAC’s outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. The counselor provides treatment and education to people with substance use disorders, coordinating care and documentation to support recovery. The role also contributes to treatment-team communication and the orientation and training of counseling interns.

What you'll do

• Serve as primary counselor to assigned clients
• coordinate treatment and discharge
• provide individual counseling
• collect urine samples and monitor urinalysis testing
• conduct evaluations, intake interviews, and assessments
• develop treatment plans
• maintain clinical records and reports
• communicate with stakeholders and medical staff
• participate in staff meetings and treatment teams
• support orientation and training of interns.
