Job overview

The Veterinary Sonographer role is onsite in Seattle, WA, supporting VEG hospitals and training facilities. Pay is $30–$50 per hour. Veterinary Emergency Group’s mission is to help people and their pets when they need it most. The sonographer provides same-day ultrasound support for emergency veterinary cases and helps develop ultrasound skills across home and regional hospital teams. The role combines clinical scanning with training coordination and collaboration with emergency doctors and radiology education colleagues.

What you'll do

  • Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate ultrasound training at the home hospital and regional hospitals. Maintain relationships with teleconsultation radiologists
  • track doctor and nursing team skills
  • evaluate and improve training programs
  • meet with medical and training leaders about program development and needs
  • coordinate floor shifts and training time. May assist with curriculum materials and educational demonstrations at other VEG locations.
