Accounts Payable Administrator

Job overview

The Accounts Payable Administrator role is hybrid in Alexandria, VA, with three days in the office and two days remote, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pay is $28–$32 per hour based on experience. The role supports housing accounts payable for Volunteers of America National Services properties.

What you'll do

• Oversee the invoice queue
• receive invoices, match purchase orders, and code submissions
• verify authorization and required information
• serve as a point of contact for invoice approval issues
• document discrepancies and communicate invoice actions and next steps
• coordinate with property staff, accounting partners, systems management, and asset management
• support accounting leadership with problem-solving and process and internal-control improvements.

Why this role

Five years of accounting experience is required; affordable housing experience and RealPage familiarity are preferred. An associate degree in accounting is preferred but not required.
