This role supports the engineering department at a Conagra manufacturing facility. The role exists to maintain and repair critical energy and refrigeration systems. The mechanic ensures the continuous operation of boilers, ammonia systems, and HVAC equipment to support the facility's production needs.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, re-build, repair, & test parts/components on plant & production equipment.
• Perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment involving ammonia & other refrigerants.
• Perform daily check of all refrigeration systems as required.
• Replace, repair and maintain all energy systems, boilers, ammonia systems, coolers, air compressors, HVAC systems and apparatus.
• Clean evaporators and condensers as scheduled.
• Monitor, repair, clean plant systems, water condensers, evaporators, dump traps, accumulators, sight glasses and filtration systems.
