Social Recreation Coordinator

Job overview

The Social Recreation Coordinator role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with scheduled work Monday–Friday, 2:00–6:00 p.m.; occasional weekends may be required with notification. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. The role supports youth ages 8–18 at the Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center. The coordinator plans and leads activities that promote social interaction, teamwork, creativity, and life skills while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. The role also oversees daily food service and organizes special events in support of the Center’s youth programs.

What you'll do

• Develop and lead age-appropriate recreational, social, and enrichment activities
• foster inclusion and youth leadership
• coordinate daily food and snack distribution and maintain meal records
• plan and manage special events
• supervise youth and promote positive behavior, conflict resolution, and safety.
