The Infant Teacher role is onsite in Jersey City, NJ. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour. Smart Start Academy provides full-day learning programs designed to nurture children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development. The teacher supports infants’ care and early learning by maintaining feeding records, leading sensory circle time, keeping the classroom clean and organized, and communicating with families and coworkers. The role also includes assisting with lesson planning and training new assistants.

What you'll do

• Update the feeding plan binder and match it to the feeding wallboard
• lead small circle time with sensory activities
• keep the classroom and equipment clean and sanitized
• communicate with parents, children, and coworkers
• oversee daily-connect information
• change diapers
• assist with lesson planning and train new assistants.
