Buyer/Planner

Job overview

The Buyer/Planner role is onsite for the first 90 days in Fairfield, TX, then transitions to a hybrid schedule of four onsite days and one work-from-home day per week. Compensation is $75,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience. Nexus Brands Group supports professional customers in the tattoo, pet grooming, and beauty industries with products, innovation, and service. The role maintains reliable, cost-effective supply and converts demand, inventory, production, and launch requirements into purchasing and production plans. It coordinates with suppliers and internal teams to manage orders, schedules, inventory, and constraints while supporting on-time delivery, efficient manufacturing operations, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Monitor demand, inventory, open orders, lead times, safety stock, and inventory turns
• review requisitions and create and manage purchase orders
• analyze proposed orders
• coordinate forecasts and plans with internal teams
• determine production material requirements
• follow up with suppliers on confirmations, deliveries, shortages, and quality concerns
• negotiate supplier terms within assigned authority
• monitor supplier performance
• identify cost savings
• maintain purchasing and planning data in NetSuite and related tools
• resolve invoice, pricing, and receiving discrepancies
• develop and communicate production schedules
• coordinate production priorities
• adjust schedules for changing demand or constraints
• analyze capacity and planning metrics
• participate in S&OP and production planning meetings
• support ERP and process improvements.
