Part-Time Lifeguard Instructor, Pooled Aquatics

What you'll do

• Instruct, lead, supervise, and ensure the safety of class participants
• maintain the appearance and working order of instructional materials and equipment
• plan class outlines and teaching methods supporting American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR programs
• assist with training and management of pool managers
• conduct and document monthly lifeguard audits in HydroApps
• plan and lead summer in-service trainings and document them in HydroApps
• ensure students are registered and on class rosters
• submit completed-class records to the Aquatics supervisor and American Red Cross office
• maintain required licenses, certifications, and clearances. Year-round part-time position limited to 999 hours per calendar year.

Why this role

Requires age 17 or older, at least two years of lifeguarding experience, American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor and Lifeguarding certifications, CPR with AED, First Aid, and blood borne pathogens credentials. Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator certification and prior instructor experience are preferred.
