What you'll do
- Prepares the operating room
- Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery
- Maintains a sterile field
- Anticipates the needs of the surgical team
- Monitors the patient's condition
- Handles surgical instruments and supplies
- Manages specimen collection, labeling, and transport
- Documents all aspects of patient care
- Participates in patient handoff communication
- Assists in cleaning and restocking the operating room
- Collaborates with the surgical team
- Follows hospital safety rules and procedures.
