The Licensed Structural Engineer — Building Design role is onsite in Dallas, TX. Compensation is not specified. The engineer joins Olsson’s South Facilities Engineering and Design team, which delivers building projects across healthcare, education, data centers, laboratories, commercial, and federal markets. The engineer owns structural design packages and coordinates with other disciplines through design and construction. The role contributes safe, constructible, and cost-effective building designs while supporting project delivery, quality reviews, and the development of junior engineers and technicians.

What you'll do

• Design structural systems in steel, concrete, masonry, and light gauge
• perform analysis, calculations, and detailing
• produce and check Revit and AutoCAD drawings and models
• coordinate with architecture, MEP, and site/civil teams
• apply building codes and standards
• support project planning and scope, schedule, and quality commitments
• perform QA/QC reviews
• review submittals and RFIs
• conduct site observations
• mentor junior staff
• contribute to proposals and client meetings.
