The Program Specialist — Moms Empowerment role is based in the Kansas City, MO office and may become hybrid after the first 90 days, with two days in the office and two remote. Pay starts at $23.08 per hour ($45,600 annually). Catholic Charities of Kansas City–St. Joseph supports people facing crises and helps them build stability and self-reliance. The specialist provides case management and parent education to pregnant mothers and families through a baby’s first year. The role coordinates assessments, individualized plans, referrals, benefits assistance, resources, and ongoing support while contributing to program operations and quality improvement.

What you'll do

• Treat clients with dignity and compassion
• support community outreach, intakes, inquiries, reporting, and quality improvement
• oversee the agency referral system
• maintain an adapted caseload of up to 10 active clients
• provide specialized case management to adoption-minded clients
• conduct and document intakes
• develop measurable service plans
• assist with public benefits, referrals, education, and essential needs as funding allows
• maintain timely records and confidentiality
• build community partnerships
• participate in meetings, outreach, and training
• and travel throughout the Diocese and State of Missouri.

Why this role

Full-time, 38 hours per week, with office hours Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM; offices are closed Friday. Hybrid eligibility begins after the first 90 days. Requires a related human-services bachelor’s degree or approved Community Worker certification; social work degree is strongly preferred. Travel throughout the Diocese and State of Missouri is required.
