The Senior Software Engineer, Inference role is onsite in Bellevue, WA, with a base salary range of $152,000–$204,000 per year. CoreWeave provides cloud infrastructure, technology, and expertise to help customers build and scale artificial intelligence systems. As an area owner, the engineer leads design and architecture and improves latency, throughput, and reliability across services in CoreWeave’s Kubernetes-native inference platform. The work spans teams and contributes to meeting strict P99 service-level objectives at scale.

What you'll do

• Lead design reviews and drive team architecture
• break multi-service work into milestones
• define and own service-level indicators and objectives
• ensure post-incident actions are completed
• implement and measure inference optimizations
• improve capacity planning, autoscaling, graceful degradation, rollback, and traffic-shifting strategies
• mentor engineers and review cross-team designs
• own an area spanning multiple services and teams.
