Job overview
The Infrastructure Engineer role is full-time and onsite in downtown New Orleans, LA, with regular travel to hospital sites across the greater New Orleans area. Pay is $95,000–$130,000 per year. Sapphire Health operates technology infrastructure that healthcare providers depend on to deliver patient care. The engineer builds, configures, operates, and optimizes compute, virtualization, storage, identity, and cloud platforms supporting critical healthcare systems. The role owns platform administration, migrations, performance, and incident response while helping maintain availability, resilience, and security across managed environments.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain VMware vSphere
- provision and manage Cisco UCS and Dell PowerEdge compute and virtual machines
- manage NetApp ONTAP storage and Rubrik data protection
- administer Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online resources
- support cloud migrations and hybrid connectivity
- participate in the on-call rotation
- manage platform updates and patching
- monitor infrastructure and maintain asset inventory
- support capacity planning and hardware refreshes
- respond to incidents and contribute to root-cause analysis
- maintain runbooks
- guide junior team members and collaborate on architecture.
