The Dietary and Food Dietitian is an onsite, full-time role based in Glendale, CA. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour. This role supports the ResCare Community Living team by providing nutrition assessment and counseling for adult and pediatric patients. This role exists to improve the wellbeing of individuals served through Medical Nutrition Therapy. The dietitian develops treatment plans, monitors food service operations, and educates staff and families on nutritional principles.

What you'll do

• Consult with physicians and other health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patients.
• Develop and implement a treatment plan following dietary field guidelines.
• Provide individual and group counseling on the control of diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, obesity, and other diagnoses.
• Suggest appropriate behavior modification methods for control and alteration of eating habits.
• Formulate menus for therapeutic diets based on medical and physical condition of patients, and integrate patients’ menus with basic institutional menus.
• Instruct clients and their families in nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection, and preparation.
• Serve as a resource and educator for health care providers and staff.
