What you'll do

• Coordinate with train crews, yardmasters, dispatchers, and customers to move and position railcars
• inspect railcars and equipment
• couple and uncouple cars, operate switches, and assist with minor repairs
• communicate by radio and telephone
• follow work orders and safety rules
• and assist with track activities and maintenance. Conductors may supervise track crews as an Employee in Charge when assigned.
