Job overview
The Fleet Mechanic role is an onsite position based in Denver, CO, with a pay range of $32.00 to $38.00 per hour. This role supports the US Foods, Inc. maintenance team in ensuring a safe and reliable fleet through preventative maintenance and repairs. The primary purpose of this role is to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and reefers. The mechanic maintains documentation of repairs and ensures compliance with all safety and DOT standards.
What you'll do
- Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace, and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
- Mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
- Receive road calls and coordinate with third-party vendors.
- Utilize fleet maintenance software to document repairs and parts used.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
