The Pastry Chef role is onsite at Croasdaile Village in Durham, NC. The full-time schedule is 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and days that may vary. Pay is $23–$24 per hour. Morrison Living’s culinary team serves the people in its care communities. The chef plans and supervises daily pastry, dessert, and baked-goods production and distribution. The role maintains recipe and food-handling standards, controls costs and inventory, supervises kitchen associates, and helps plan seasonal menus.

What you'll do

• Create, plan, and supervise daily pastry, dessert, and baked-goods production and distribution
• follow recipes and standards
• control food costs and production quantities
• maintain food handling, presentation, portion, and temperature standards
• oversee kitchen sanitation and equipment
• supervise hourly associates
• help plan seasonal menus
• order and maintain supplies.
