The Substance Abuse Counselor role is onsite in Paducah, KY. Pay is $21–$23 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. The role supports Behavioral Health Group’s mission to help patients recover from addiction and rebuild hope. The counselor provides individual and group support to people recovering from drug and alcohol disorders, guides patients through intake, and connects them with community resources. The role also develops treatment plans and maintains patient records to support individualized, compliant care.

What you'll do

• Provide individual and group counseling
• guide new and returning patients through intake and orientation
• connect patients with community resources and follow up on referrals
• develop and maintain individualized treatment plans and accurate patient records
• assess patients’ social, educational, economic, and vocational needs
• respond compassionately to crises and complete required documentation
• comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
