The Nursing Unit Administrative Assistant role is onsite in Gloucester, MA, with a stated Monday–Friday schedule from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pay is $20–$24 per hour. The position supports Seacoast Nursing & Rehab Center’s busy short-term rehabilitation unit and its caregivers and patients. The assistant provides administrative and documentation support that helps the unit maintain accurate patient information and smooth admission and communication processes. The role also supports the nurses’ station and patient-care environment through record entry, call handling, roster maintenance, and admission registration.

What you'll do

• Record medical and administrative information according to documentation policies
• answer telephone calls, page calls, and deliver messages
• maintain an up-to-date patient and resident roster
• keep the nurses’ station and patient-care unit safe, clean, and organized
• transcribe physician orders into the electronic medical record for licensed nurses to review and reconcile
• process patient admission and registration in the facility EMR.
