The Equipment Operator is an onsite role based in Virginia Beach, VA. The pay rate is $25 - $28/hr, and this position supports the Hampton Roads Recovery Center team at Waste Connections. This role exists to maintain safe and efficient site operations through the skilled use of heavy machinery. The operator contributes to the team by performing equipment inspections and ensuring that all environmental and safety procedures are strictly followed.

What you'll do

• Operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, scrapers, and compactors.
• Performing routine inspection and maintenance on equipment.
• Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Interacting with customers and employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.
