What you'll do

• Recruit, hire, and motivate service technicians
• help technicians develop their skills and complete manufacturer training
• assign repair orders fairly and provide technical support
• monitor repair progress, quality, and charge-outs
• road-test vehicles and spot-check completed work
• maintain customer follow-up and address complaints within 24 hours
• monitor department performance, technician productivity, shop condition, equipment, and special-tool inventory
• fill in for service advisor and dispatcher when necessary.
