The Multi-Axis CNC Mill-Turn Setup Operator role is onsite in Rochester, NY, with compensation of $28–$33 per hour. The position supports production of custom precision mechanical components and assemblies for the optical industry at Xactra Technologies. The operator prepares and runs multi-axis machining equipment, verifies part dimensions, and tracks production and quality information. This work helps ensure components meet specifications while supporting safe, consistent production and timely escalation of machine or tolerance issues.

What you'll do

• Set up multi-axis mill-turns and vertical or horizontal machining centers
• load fixtures and blanks or transfer in-process parts according to job routers
• verify dimensions using precision measurement tools
• track production, quality checks, and scrap
• monitor coolant and oil
• stop and escalate machine faults or out-of-tolerance dimensions.
