The director provides strategic and operational leadership for perioperative nursing services, overseeing daily clinical and operational performance. The role advances surgical patient safety, quality, staffing, workflows, regulatory readiness, and staff development while partnering with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing leaders, administration, and interdisciplinary teams.
What you'll do
- Lead perioperative nursing services and day-to-day clinical and operational performance
- establish standards for surgical patient care, safety, quality, and outcomes
- develop and support nursing leaders and clinical staff
- evaluate staffing and nursing-resource utilization
- improve workflows and operational processes
- collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing leadership, administration, and interdisciplinary teams
- monitor quality, safety, regulatory, operational, and patient-care performance
- support regulatory readiness, strategic planning, recruitment, retention, and professional development.
