The Purple Line Infrastructure Operations Center Operator (BOC Specialist 2) role is onsite in Hyattsville, MD, with compensation of $32.54–$36.60 per hour. The position is based at the Glenridge Operations and Maintenance Facility or Backup OMF and supports commissioning, integrated testing, and transition to operations of the Purple Line light rail system. The operator monitors and controls transit infrastructure systems, including SCADA, alarms, CCTV, and traction power, and coordinates with field and testing teams. The role supports safe testing and operational readiness, then helps transition the system into revenue service operations.

What you'll do

• Monitor infrastructure systems and triage alarms
• perform SCADA electrical switching under approved procedures
• support system integration and dynamic testing
• report anomalies and unsafe conditions
• maintain event and switching logs
• coordinate with field teams and testing leads
• support operational procedures and transition to operations.
